RvBMN7 & a Blog Update

This weekend was nothing but pure fun… and exhaustion, now that I’m looking back. This weekend was pretty much the first full two day weekend that I’ve gotten off in months, literally. And the only reason for that is because I asked for it off so that I could participate in this weekend’s festivities: Red vs. Blue Minnesota 7. For those of you who don’t know, Red vs. Blue is a popular internet machinima, which is basically a “movie”-esk creation using a video game to portray a storyline of some kind. We, the fans, who live in Minnesota, decided four years ago or so to meet each other for a weekend of fun and festivities, and here we were this weekend for our seventh get-together.

Oh, and just for the record, my head seems to still be spinning, staring at my computer screen. ANYWAYS!

Yesterday, Saturday, we headed out for our traditional meeting at the Mall of America, where I met a few new people to our event. It was good to have you with us, and I hope you come again next time! We hung out, had a big lunch at Ruby Tuesday, raced at the NASCAR Silicon Motor Speedway, where I did better than any of them, mind you, visited the Oxygen Bar, and more. It was a blast, as always. Afterwards, we headed out to Shooters for some pool shooting and air hockey owning, where I also kicked your asses, haha. Pool, though… not so much. Whoops. Late that night, we all headed home to get ready for today.

Today, Sunday, we had a great time hanging out at Valleyfair, Minnesota’s finest amusement park. I can’t even begin to list how many rides we rode, midway games we played, and food we ate. It was nothing but fun for us all I’d say. The grand total for this weekend of fun and festivities was $200. Yeah, spendy, but, we all need to let ourselves go every once in a while, right?

Now I’m in “Regret Mode”. Naturally, now that all is said and done, and we need to get back to the whole “life” thing, I’m finding out how bad this week is going to be. Tomorrow I have school in the morning, which consists of a “Mock Interview” that I need to dress up for, have a full resume complete, and do well in to be able to pass the class. That night, I have work, and I close. Then, the loveliest part of it all, I have to OPEN the next morning, which I absolutely hate. The rest of the week consists of more work, more school, and the like. Yay? It SERIOUSLY makes me wonder what our lives are good for if this is all we do in life.

But anyways. With everything from this weekend behind me, I have a bit of a Blog Update. Starting today, I am going to try and make a new Blog every other day. Yes, that’s right, you’ll see me update. Sometimes a rant about life, sometimes an interesting fact about something I read, sometimes some info on a video game that I can’t wait to play. I want to start writing more, so I’m going to. I hope you all will read and enjoy.
