Timeless Friendship

Brace yourself, it’s a big one this time ’round. But, it’s really important to me… please read it. :]

It’s been almost two weeks since my last update, even longer since my last real, important update. A lot has happened in that time, and it may be finally time to start something that might change my life. But first, the simple of what’s new.

My life hasn’t really changed much. I work forty hours a week, and have school three days a week, one of them being Saturday, which I still greatly dislike. Other than that, the rest of my time is spent sleeping, eating, and doing other stuff that isn’t necessarily enjoyable. I pretty much need to give up doing stuff that I have to do for the stuff that I want to do, and lately it’s been piling up because of that.

Gaming-wise, I recently picked up Metal Gear Solid 4, which I haven’t been able to touch much. But I can tell you now based off of the graphics I’ve seen so far, it is an absolutely beautiful game. Other than that, I got myself back in to Guild Wars again, and have been playing that quite religiously, when I have the time of course. Most of the time that’s from midnight to two AM, sadly. But I enjoy it a lot.

I’ve been leaving a lot of websites lately, half because of time, and half because of conflicts of interest. I rarely use FaceBook at the moment, my GameSpot profile has become nearly dormant, I’ve stopped using RoosterTeeth for the most part, I left the world of vSide for the time being, and I no longer use Twitter anymore; replaced with Jaiku. There are a ton more websites, but, I’m going to start linking all of my active profiles on the side of my Blog here in the next couple of days.

Speaking of the next couple of days, this is the big part. I’ve put down a chunk of change into my two desktop computers lately, but in doing so, I’m creating two machines that can do what I need for my current projects.

Project One involves Weasel Radio, which MAY be going through a name change, for the record. This one is a minor project, because it all depends on my listener base. What I am looking to do is a couple of unique shows for my Internet radio station, one being a non-music show. But, this is still on the rocks just because, as said before, running the server 24/7 is a rough process. Luckily though, my Server computer is getting upgraded with more RAM and cooler, quieter fans. That will be a very nice change of pace.

Project Two involves my video game website that I started. Weasel Gaming, it’s original code name, will be changing in the next week, and getting it’s own domain if all works out as planned. From there, I’ll be working on making it into a full-fledged video game journalism website, hopefully. I’ve got plans to add video, both in live form and in game footage, as well as audio, and whatever else I can think of. It’s all at my disposal.

I do have other random projects I’ve been working on as well, but most of them are more specialty works, such as a Guild Wars Fan Forum that I made in conjunction with my Guild. It’s a really cool place, and I spent a lot of time making it, but, it obviously caters to Guild Wars players most. If you know any, please feel free to tell them about the site. My biggest problem with ALL of this, though, is that I can’t do it alone. So I’m asking everyone, all of you, if you want to help. Weasel Radio needs at least one other person who can help me with a special show, “Weasel Gaming” needs staff who have time to play games and write about them, my Guild Wars site needs contributors and people to join my Guild. I need help, and I need it bad. I’ve been working alone for too long, and it’s time I ended that.
